F-150 Lightning Goes Global

The all-electric F-150 Lightning has been soaring in popularity all across America since its launch, but the excitement over this groundbreaking vehicle has not been limited to the U.S. Demand for the truck has been high in Europe as well, and today Ford announced that the F-150 Lightning will be making its global debut in Norway, the most advanced electric vehicle market in the world.

80% of new car sales in Norway consist of electric vehicles, meaning that the F-150 Lightning will be up against some stiff competition as it ventures out into the world. However, with Norwegian customers already clamoring for the truck, it’s safe to say that the F-150 Lightning has a following to carry it through. Ford’s electrification plans in Europe include ambitious goals for the future, such as having all vehicle sales be zero-emissions and achieving total carbon neutrality across its facilities, logistics and suppliers by 2035. Seeing how the F-150 Lightning fares in Norway will be a major milestone.

The Norwegian launch of the truck will be very limited, with a small number of special F-150 Lightning Lariat Launch Edition vehicles available. Customers must apply to purchase these trucks through the Ford-authorized dealer network in Norway.
