Ford Announces Bronco Everglades Special Edition

Ford has recently debuted a new upgraded version of the Bronco: the Bronco Everglades special edition, designed to be even more of an off-roading powerhouse than the Bronco itself.

The four-door Bronco Everglades is upgraded with factory-installed features like a snorkel, an integrated front bumper-mounted winch, and the off-road equipment that you’ll find in the Bronco Sasquatch Package, such as 17-inch alloy wheels with 35-inch Goodyear mud-terrain tires, rock rails, and a molded-in-color hardtop and roof rack with crossbars. The snorkel, a class-exclusive signature of this vehicle, runs up the passenger-side A-pillar and helps to optimize the vehicle’s performance in conditions such as dust, snow and water where a lower engine air intake point would cause a problem. The direction of the inlet can be changed with two easily swappable plates as needed.

“Bronco enthusiasts demand style as well as performance, so we challenged ourselves to create a snorkel with high-end function and a look that really suits the vehicle,” said Ryan Olsson, design manager. “What really sets the Everglades snorkel apart is the head and reversible intake. It completely changes the way a snorkel can look and function.”

The Bronco Everglades’ front and rear axles, transfer case and transmission all have raised vents to give the vehicle better water fording, a total capability of 36.4 inches. The Bronco Everglades edition also includes a heavy-duty modular front bumper by Ford Performance, with the addition of a ZEON 10-S WARN winch that has up to 10,000 pounds of capability and a 100-foot synthetic line, perfect for situations where extra traction is needed beyond the capability of the engine and tires.

This edition of the Bronco has a unique take on the vehicle’s design, with squared wheel arches and matching Sasquatch-width fender flares, as well as unique graphics on the front quarter fenders that give a subtle nod to the Everglades wetlands. Inside, standard marine-grade vinyl seats and rubberized washout flooring make the vehicle easy to clean, even after a particularly muddy trip, while Urban Green accents add a stylish pop of color to the grab handles, air register vents and seat stitching. The 2022 Bronco Everglades will be available in five exterior colors, including low-volume Desert Sand, an Everglades exclusive, Eruption Green, Area 51, Shadow Black and Cactus Gray.

The Bronco Everglades edition will be joining the Bronco lineup in the summer of 2022, with ordering for existing Bronco reservation holders beginning in March.
